Collin Morikawa will be determined to be crowned golf major champion for the third time in his career by winning the
Open Championship.
What to know about Morikawa
The American star turned professional in 2019, having spent three weeks as the top-ranked golfer in the World Amateur Golf Ranking in May 2018.
Morikawa has six PGA Tour wins, including two major championships, the 2020 PGA Championship and the 2021 Open Championship, winning both in his debut.

The Los Angeles-born golfer was in action at the recent 2025 Scottish Genesis Open in Scotland, where he missed the cut.
Morikawa is placed sixth on the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) and his best overall ranking is second.
Why Morikawa is among the favourites
The 28-year-old won the 2021 Open Championship by two strokes over Jordan Spieth in Kent, England and this made him the first player since Bobby Jones in 1926 to win two majors in eight or fewer starts.
Morikawa, who finished 16th in the 2024 Open Championship, has finished second in two events (The Sentry and Arnold Palmer Invitational) in 2025 and he will be targeting his maiden of the season.

"It's going to be a two-week thing as of now, just to fill in," Morikawa told reporters about his decision to hire legendary caddie Billy Foster ahead of the 2025 Open Championship.
"I was trying to think about who would be available and then a couple of people brought his name up and what a legend he is. I mean, the stories he's had, the people he's caddied for.
"Yesterday out playing, he told me some good Seve stories and I'm very lucky to have someone like that to be able to hop on the bag for a couple of weeks and just enjoy it."
