The Memphis Grizzlies and the Utah Jazz are set to continue their epic battle in the First Round of the
NBA Playoffs with a possible Game 6 clash at FedExForum in Memphis, Tennessee on Friday 4 June 2021.
The Jazz have taken firm control of the series by establishing a 3-1 lead, meaning the Grizzlies will need to claim victory in Game 5 at the Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City on Thursday to send this battle to a sixth clash.
The last time Utah were 3-1 up in a Playoff series was against the Denver Nuggets last season, but they ended up blowing it. This time around, star man Donovan Mitchell is confident that they will see out a series triumph.

"We've seen this before," Mitchell said after scoring 30 points in a 120-113 victory on Tuesday. "We've been here before. This is the exact moment we've played – we've played up to being this team that we've been, because of that moment, I would say. Because that fuelled a lot of this season. And we're here again and we're going to go out there and just do what we do and not really relish in the past. Although, it definitely is fuel."
The Grizzlies will need to up their game, but coach Taylor Jenkins remains proud of his team, insisting that it’s tough against one of the NBA’s form outfits right now. "There's nothing to be frustrated about when you're giving great fight against the best team in the NBA," Jenkins explained. "They just have a response for everything. We're giving everything we've got."
In head-to-head stats, the Grizzlies and the Jazz have met in four Playoff games since 1995-96, with Utah claiming three wins compared to one for Memphis. This is the teams’ first-ever Playoff series meeting.
The winner of this Playoff series will advance to face either the Los Angeles Clippers or the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference semifinals later this month.
