Athletic Bilbao will be desperate to turn things around when they welcome Real Mallorca to San Mames on Saturday, October 4.
After winning their opening three matches of the new
La Liga season, the Lions endured a sticky patch in September which saw them pick up just one point out of a possible 12.
Ernesto Valverde's side suffered back-to-back defeats against Alaves and Valencia before playing out to a 1-1 draw with Girona and they slipped up again after losing 1-0 to Villarreal on September 27.
That poor run of results has left the Basque outfit down in 10th spot, three points outside the UEFA Champions League places.
The Pirates finally got their campaign up and running with a 1-0 success against Alaves on September 27 after going winless in their first six games.
Jagoba Arrasate's side had put just two points on the board prior to the visit of the Babazorros, although their maiden win wasn't good enough to get them out of the relegation zone.
The Balearic Islands club are in a five-way tie with Real Sociedad (17th), Celta Vigo (16th), Rayo Vallecano (15th) and Levante (14th) on five points, but are kept in the bottom three on goal difference.
Valverde has urged his players not to lose belief as they've completed in all of their matches, but were made to pay for wastefulness in front of goal.
"It's true that we're lacking accuracy. It's a question of keeping working. If you analyse all the matches, we're always in them and there have been moments when we could have won," the Spaniard said.
"We're on a bad run now, we have to get through it, we have to be confident. Let's see if we can also get some players back."
