FC Barcelona will go head to head with Villarreal CF in a
Spanish La Liga match at the iconic Camp Nou on May 22.
Barca were held to a 0-0 draw by Getafe CF away in their previous league match which was played on May 15.
As a result, Barcelona are undefeated in their last four matches in this competition having recorded three successive wins and one draw.

Barca are unbeaten in their last two matches at home in Liga having registered two consecutive wins against Celta Vigo and Real Mallorca at Camp Nou.
“Today we secured second place in La Liga. For me, we achieved this season’s goals by qualifying for the Champions League and the Spanish Super Cup," Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez said after their draw with Getafe.
“We haven’t been able to compete with Real Madrid in La Liga. We haven’t been able to compete in the rest of the competitions… With this second place finish, we have saved a campaign that could have been much worse.
“Today’s match was complicated, and the draw helped both teams. We had heard that Sevilla drew against Atlético and then the players didn’t know what to do.”

Meanwhile, Villarreal suffered a 2-1 defeat to Real Sociedad at home in their previous league game which was played on May 15.
The defeat ended the Yellow Submarine's two-match unbeaten run in this competition having recorded one draw and one draw.
Villarreal are inconsistent on the road in La Liga having recorded two wins and one defeat in their last three away matches.
The last league meeting between Barcelona and Villarreal was on 27 November 2021.
Barcelona claimed a 3-1 win over Villarreal in a match that was played at Estadio de la Cerámica which was formerly and informally called El Madrigal.
