The Whites are also undefeated in their last seven matches at home in La Liga having recorded five wins and two draws at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

"Sometimes you have games where you feel very comfortable on the ball. We scored early on and that helped us not to rush things or force the play too much," Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti said after their win over Getafe.

"We moved the ball well and controlled the game but we weren't as clinical up top as we have been on other occasions. We've created a lot of chances over the last couple LaLiga games but we haven't scored many goals.

“It’ [El Clasico] is still a long way off. We’ve got a game before then and I may rotate the team a bit more on Tuesday and give the players who are feeling the most tired a rest.”

Meanwhile, Barcelona secured a narrow 1-0 win over Celta Vigo at home in their most recent league game which was played on October 9.

The win extended Barca's unbeaten run to eight matches in this competition having recorded seven consecutive wins and one draw.

Barcelona are also undefeated in their last 19 matches on the road in La Liga having registered five draws and 14 wins as the visitors.

The last league meeting between Madrid and Barcelona was on 20 March 2022.

Barcelona secured an emphatic 4-0 win over Madrid at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu which is named after footballer and legendary Real Madrid president Santiago Bernabéu (1895–1978).
