World No. 6 Ludvig Aberg will be making his second appearance at the Canadian Open on Thursday, June 5, two years after his professional debut in the national championship.
The Swede dominated the Amateur scene from September 2022 to June 2023, when he turned professional as the No. 1 ranked amateur player in the world.
Aberg made the cut at the 2023 Canadian Open before going on finish tied for 25th place and he claimed his maiden PGA Tour win five months later at the RSM Classic.
The 25-year-old has impressed in 2025, winning the Genesis Invitational while also achieving top-10 finishes at the Sentry (T5) and the Masters Tournament (7th).
Aberg recently admitted to making adjustments to his swing which has allowed him a more athletic motion and yielded good results with his driver at the Truist Championship.
"I have sort of this tendency in my golf swing where my face gets a little bit too open at times and when it gets open, I can't really turn, technically speaking, that's what happens," Aberg said.
"So we've been working on getting the face a little bit more shut at address and at impact, which allows me to be a little bit more active in my body. [It] Allows me to be a little bit more athletic, which is nice.
"I saw some positives last week in Philly with my driver, which was really nice too. That will be a key this week to hit that driver very well if you want to compete. So looking forward to do that and keep improving on that."
