Inter Milan vs Atalanta

Kick-off is at 15:00

After their impressive winning streak ended this past weekend, Inter Milan will hope to get back on track when they take on a tricky Atalanta outfit at home on Saturday.

Inter Milan leads the Serie A standings in first place after gathering 67 points from 28 matches so far. Their dominant season features 22 wins, 1 draw, and 5 losses as they look to claim their first Serie A title since the 2023/24 campaign.

The log leaders enter the game against Atalanta following a narrow 1-0 defeat against second-placed AC Milan this past Sunday, which slashed their lead at the top of the table to seven points.

Amid an impressive run that included 14 victories, Inter last tasted defeat on 23 November 2025, ironically during a 1-0 loss against Milan; they also recorded a 2-2 draw with reigning champions Napoli during this period.

Atalanta occupies seventh position on the table, having collected 46 points from 28 matches. Hoping to qualify for European football once more, Atalanta are four points from sixth place and five away from fourth spot.

La Dea’s latest result was a hard-fought 2-2 draw at home against Udinese on 7 March, where Gianluca Scamacca's brace rescued a point after trailing 2-0.

Overall, Atalanta have now recorded three wins, one loss and one draw in their last five league fixtures.

Reflecting on the Milan Derby, Inter coach Cristian Chivu believed his side suffered defeat due to a lack of intensity while maintaining that the Italian giants remain committed to claiming the Scudetto trophy.

“We all should’ve had greater intensity and moved with more determination all over the pitch,” Chivu said.

“There are 10 games to go, 30 points up for grabs, so we’ve got to build on what we’ve done so far.

“We still have a seven-point advantage, there are 30 still to be earned, nothing would’ve changed even if we had won tonight.”
