With Juventus aiming for back-to-back wins in Serie A this weekend, the Old Lady will now turn their attention to Atalanta on away grounds this Saturday.

As another club keen on qualifying for European football next season, Juventus will go into their next game sitting in fifth position with 57 points from 31 games.

Currently on a five-match unbeaten run, Juventus recorded a 2-0 win against Genoa at the Allianz Stadium on Monday. With one point separating them from fourth place, Juventus recorded three wins and two draws in their previous five league matches.

Atalanta are likewise making a push for Europe, going into their next assignment in seventh with 53 points from 31 games so far.

As it stands, Atalanta are one point off sixth, four away from fifth and five points behind Como who occupy the fourth position.

The popular Italian side recorded a 3-0 away win against Lecce, while they noted two wins, two draws, and one loss in their last five.

Reflecting on Juve’s win over Genoa, Luciano Spalletti expressed that his side dropped off in the second-half but that he was happy with their overall showing.

“I’m pleased with the team’s performance,” Spalletti said.

“The side that set the tone in the first half was extraordinary, making the right choices and decisions on how to approach the game; the side in the second half, which was somewhat at the mercy of chance, needs to improve.

“If Genoa had scored from the penalty spot, the result would have been in doubt – but given how we played in the first 45 minutes, there can be no question about it.”
