The Red Devils, who finished as runners-up behind Manchester City last season, have brought in the marquee signings of Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane in an attempt to dethrone the Cityzens.
United finished 12 points behind City and paid the price for a slow start to the campaign, something manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hopes his team can put right this season.

"Pep (Guardiola) said 'You can't win the league in the first eight games but you can lose the chance to win it,' and that's what happened to us last season," Solskjaer said.

"I'd rather be an optimist and be wrong than a pessimist and be right. Of course these boys can, with a maximum effort and maximum sacrifice [win the league].

"It feels like this season coming up is one of the strongest Premier League seasons.

"It's been City and Liverpool fighting it out for a while but us and Chelsea have spent well and should look at ourselves as potential challengers," he added.
Leeds impressed on their return to the Premier League and finished ninth on the table following a run of four-straight wins to end the 2020/21 season.
Marcelo Bielsa has been able to keep hold of all of the club's star players while the arrival of Junior Firpo at Elland Road and the permanent signing of Jack Harrison will boost their chances of doing even better this season.
