After a successful outing at the
British Grand Prix, McLaren-Mercedes rising star Oscar Piastri will once again hope to challenge for a podium finish at the upcoming Belgian Grand Prix.
McLaren-Mercedes are undoubtedly the team to beat during the 2025 season, with their dominance further stamped with a 1-2 finish at Silverstone on 6 July.
With Norris and Piastri given free reign to trade blows, albeit safely, Norris ended up in P1, while Piastri came behind with a +6.812s in P2.
The pair finished outside the top three at the 2024 Belgian Grand Prix as Norris completed the race in P5 followed by Piastri in P6.

Reflecting on Piastri and Norris’ tussle for the number one spot, McLaren chief Zak Brown reittered that McLaren will continue to let their two drivers battle for supremacy regardless of the risks involved.
"No. It's the same rules," Brown said after the Austrian Grand Prix.
"[They can] race each other hard, race each other clean, and try and get as many points on the board for the team.
"Then it's up to them to decide who is in front of whom."

As it stands, both Piastri and Norris are well on course to win the 2025 Formula 1 Driver’s championship with the former leading the way on 234 points.
Norris, who has enjoyed a fruitful 2024 and 2025 campaign follows suit on 226 points while reigning World Champion Max Verstappen sits in third place with 165 points to his name.
