Following the month of January, Cagliari find themselves among the most in-form teams in Serie A currently as they prepare for a stern test against AS Roma on away soil next Monday.
Cagliari will head into their next match on the back of a 4-0 victory over Verona, a result that came after back-to-back wins over Juventus and Fiorentina respectively.
As it stands, Cagliari are in 12th position on the table on 28 points, with three wins, one loss and the single stalemate in their last five league ties.
Roma will once again look to rejoin the winning column this week when they take on Udinese on Monday night. The Italian giants could end up in third position with a win over Udinese as they trail current third place holders Napoli by three points with a superior goal difference.
Overall, Roma noted three wins, one draw and one defeat in their last five games prior to their Monday night fixture against Udinese.

In the wake of Cagliari’s dominant win over Verona, coach Fabio Pisacane urged his side to remain focused given the ‘treacherous’ nature of the Italian league.
"The boys are going strong,” Pisacane said.
“Doing so at a time when we have key players out is gratifying, but we have to keep our heads down and work.
“We need to keep pushing. Serie A is treacherous and you can't get distracted.
