Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia could make it two wins on the spin following his success at the Japanese MotoGP with the
Indonesian MotoGP on the horizon.
Bagnaia stood head and shoulders above the rest at the Twin Ring Motegi track this past weekend after he finished with a time of 42:09:321s in first place.
Also, Bagnaia oversaw a dominant win in Japan after qualified for pole, won the sprint race and subsequently lifted the Grand Prix honours at the end of the race.
While Marc Marquez has already claimed the 2025 MotoGP title, Bagnaia is currently third on the Rider’s standings with 274 points to his name.
Looking ahead to Indonesia, Bagnaia is yet to taste victory in the main race at the Mandalika International Street Circuit. However, the Italian did claim a sprint race victory in 2024.

Speaking after his win in Japan, Bagnaia expressed that his team needed to make specific changes en-route to victory.
“I’m very happy about today, but I’m also very angry about this weekend, because maybe we could’ve done it earlier, maybe after one or two grands prix,” Bagnaia said.
“We just struggled a bit during the season, but finally the test in Misano gave us the possibility to try things that have helped me a lot. Some specific [things] that have helped me also in other situations.
“So, super-happy about it, finally we found it.”
