The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPSL) is home to some of the finest players on the African continent.
 
We take a look at the top five players in Nigeria's top-flight league.
 

Stanley Dimgba - Enyimba

The 26-year-old midfielder is one of Enyimba's key players as they challenge for this season's NPFL title.
Dimgba, who is a goalscoring winger, is one of the top goalscorers in the 2019/20 CAF Confederation Cup having netted four goals.
 
The former Nigeria under-23 international has also hit the back of the net eight times in the NPL the current campaign.
 
"I’ll go straight to the point because since I’ve been playing league," Dimgba said on Premium Times.
 
"I’ve not experienced that worst moment because I’ve been playing from small team to big team and I’ve not experienced losses, I’m moving forward. For now, I can say I’ve been experiencing good moments, I’ve not experienced bad moments, I’m not coming down, I’m going forward, it’s a great opportunity."
 

Jimoh Oni - Abia Warriors

 
The midfielder has established himself as one of the top attackers in the NPFL in recent seasons.
 
Oni is blessed with incredible dribbling skills which he uses to terrorize opposition defenders during matches.
 
The 23-year-old player has found the back of the net six times for Abia Warriors, who are looking to retain their status in the elite league.
 

Ibrahim Mustapha - Plateau United

 
The towering marksman has been one of the top performers in the current campaign having scored goals with ease.
 
Mustapha, who is one of the most prolific strikers in the country, is in the race for this season's NPFL Golden Boot award having netted 11 goals.
 
The 23-year-old player is a Nigeria international having played four matches for the Super Eagles.
 

Israel Abia - Rangers

 
The diminutive striker has arguably been the best player in the country this season while leading the attack for Sunshine Stars and Enugu Rangers.
 
Abia impressed with his scoring exploits at Sunshine this season and it earned him a move to Rangers where he has continued to score goals.
 
The 26-year-old player is sitting at the top of the NPFL's goalscoring charts having netted 12 goals this season.
 

Victor Mbaoma - Enyimba

 
The hard-working forward has been one of the most consistent players in the NPFL this season while playing for the biggest club in the country, Enyimba.
 
Mbaoma, who is blessed with pace, dribbling skills and finishing ability, is in the race for this season's Golden Boot with nine goals.
 
The 23-year-old player is the key to Enyimba's hopes of winning the coveted NPFL title.
