With Como stuttering in their last couple of Serie A fixtures, the rising outfit will now look forward to taking on Sassuolo away as they attempt to re-enter the winning column this weekend.
Following a positive run during the second-half of the season, Como hit a snag in their push for European football in the last couple of weeks as they sit on 58 points from 32 games.
Como will take on Sassuolo on the back of a narrow 4-3 home loss against log leaders Inter Milan this past Sunday, a result that followed a 0-0 draw against Udinese on 6 April.
As it stands, Como are in fifth place, two points behind Juventus who occupy the UEFA Champions League position. Overall, Como noted three wins, one draw and one loss in their last five outings.
Sassuolo recorded a mixed bag of results lately, with the most recent being a 2-1 loss against Genoa.
Sitting in 11th place on 42 points from 32 games, Neroverdi have three losses, one win and one stalemate across their last handful of Serie A matches.

As one of the most wanted coaches in Europe currently, Como coach Cesc Fabregas recently addressed exit rumours by expressing his commitment to the course at his current club.
“I am very committed to this project,” Fabregas assured Como fans.
“You never know, but right now I think it’s very unlikely I’ll leave Como. Last year, I wanted to see how other clubs operated. I mentioned it to the president, but I decided to stay. I’m very happy with what we’ve been able to achieve.
“This is an important project. I need to feel good here. It’s important that my family is happy, and if they’re happy in Como, I’ll stay.”
