Kick-off is at 15h00
Aston Villa will be looking to hand Brentford FC a third consecutive defeat in the Premier League when they meet at Villa Park on 1 February.
Current Form
The Villans secured a 2-0 victory over Newcastle United away on 25 January as they snapped their two-match winless run in the English top-flight.
However, Villa lost to Everton FC in their last home game, ending an eight-match unbeaten run in the Premier League at their home, Villa Park.
Meanwhile, Brentford suffered a 2-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest at home on 25 January and they are winless in their last two matches in the league, which they both lost.
The Bees also lost to Chelsea FC in their last away match and the defeat ended their two-match unbeaten run on the road in the Premier League.
Team News
Ross Barkley, John McGinn and Boubacar Kamara are the three names on Villa's injury list, but there are suspension issues for the Birmingham-based side.
Brentford, on the other hand, also don't have suspension concerns, but Mikkel Damsgaard, Kristoffer Ajer, Antoni Milambo, Fabio Carvalho and Josh Dasilva are on the London side's injury list.
Quotes
“It’s been a long time not winning here [at the St James Park] and we’re so, so grateful how our supporters helped us and were motivating us. They are showing their wishes to be with us here," Villa manager Unai Emery said after his side's win over Newcastle.
“How we responded on the field in our game plan and individually, the players are protagonists to play with their skills, with their attitude, with their commitment – today disciplined defensively, disciplined offensively, respecting them but playing with personality. The players did a fantastic job.”
Head-to-Head
Brentford emerged as 1-0 winners over Villa in their last meeting in the league, which was played at Gtech Community Stadium in August 2025.
The win ended the Bees' six-match unbeaten run in the Premier League against the Villans, who had registered four wins and two draws.
