Considered to be outside challengers for the 2025/26 Serie A trophy, Juventus will be hopeful of extending their winning streak when they go toe-to-toe with Cagliari at the Unipol Domus on Saturday.

Juve were among the biggest winners during Serie Matchday 20 after bagging a convincing 5-0 win over Cremonese at the Allianz Stadium on Monday, 12 January.

All of Gleison Bremer, Jonathan David, Kenan Yildiz, Filippo Terracciano and Weston McKenni were on target in Turin as Juventus maintained their seven point gap to the top of the table.

Sitting in fourth position, Juventus have now won four wins in their last five games and jotted down one draw during this period.

Cagliari on the other hand, are in 16th spot, with 19 points to their name after 20 matches played.

The Sardinia-based outfit suffered a 3-0 loss to Genoa last time out and recorded one win, two defeats and two draws in their previous five Serie A fixtures.

Reflecting on Juventus’ chances of winning the Scudetto this season, Juve coach Luciano Spalletti expressed that his side has much work to do in order to reach the level of Napoli and Inter Milan, who are likewise making a bid for the title.

"In a job like ours, you never know what might happen. There are always surprises, you have to think everything through and evaluate it, but what happens on the pitch is decisive.

"We played a good match against an opponent who understands what a team like Cremonese has to do. Their coach is well aware of his team's level. To a certain extent, thanks to luck, the game went in the direction we wanted."

"I watched that match [between Napoli and Inter Milan] – they showed top-level football and played openly. There are two coaches there who know exactly what they are doing. We still need to improve to reach their level; we need to take another step forward. At the same time, I see a great desire in my team.”
