Lewis Hamilton will aim to reduce the gap to the championship leaders by winning the Hungarian Grand Prix for the ninth time.

Hamilton recovered well after the early incident and showed strong pace, marking a solid result in a competitive weekend.

Boasting the records for most wins (106), pole positions (104), and podium finishes (207) in Formula One, Hamilton sits second in the Drivers’ Championship with 159 points.
The 40-year-old trails championship leader Kimi Antonelli (204) but holds a narrow advantage over George Russell (154).

"The team did a really good job today, both with the strategy and the execution of the race, and the mechanics were excellent throughout the weekend, including during the pit stops," Hamilton said after his fourth-place finish at the 2026 Belgian Grand Prix.
"Given the damage, the five-second penalty and everything that happened yesterday, I'm grateful to have come away with some points.
"It wasn't the smoothest weekend from my side, but we'll keep building and working hard to put together stronger weekends going forward."
