World no. 6 Justin Rose is starting to get comfortable with his new McLaren clubs as he goes in search of his second win of 2026 at the Canadian Open from 11-14 June.
The timing of the Englishman's equipment change was questioned after he finished T65 at the Cadillac Championship and T45 at the Truist Championship since his partnership with the Formula One giants.
But Rose insisted ahead of the PGA Championship that his new set of irons was not to blame for those poor performances and went on to prove his point by placing T10 at Aronimink.
The 45-year-old then secured a T12 at the Memorial Tournament most recently and he is bidding to become the first Brit to win the Canadian Open since compatriot Peter Oosterhuis in 1981.
Rose, who won his first PGA Tour title in six months at the Farmers Insurance Open in February, doesn't believe his game will be affected in the long term by his decision to switch up from TaylorMade.
"There is going to be a refinement process," he said. "You can test all you want, but you've got to get the clubs in play and there are going to be little mini situations out there, different lies, all sorts of things - just getting comfortable.
"But in the long-term I don't see there being an issue at all."
