As perhaps one of the most talked about success stories in Italian football during the last couple of seasons, Como remain in the hunt for UEFA Champions League football as they prepare to take on Cremonese in their final Serie A assignment.
Como will go into their next match sitting in fifth position on the table, with 68 points from 37 matches played so far.
While the rising Serie A side are mathematically eligible for the Europa League next season, Como trail the UEFA Champions League spots by two points heading into the final round of the season.
Como recorded a 1-0 win against Parma last time out, noting three wins, one draw and one defeat in their last five matches.
Cremonese however, are hoping to avoid the drop as they occupy 18th place on 34 points, one point adrift of safety. As a much-needed glimmer of hope, Cremonese are on a two-match winning streak with the latest being a 1-0 win over Udinese.
Overall, Cremonese will go into their next fixture on the back two wins, two losses and one stalemate in their previous handful of Serie A assignments.

Reflecting on Como’s next and final match of the campaign, Cesc Fabregas rallied his side to continue dreaming of playing in the Champions League next season.
“It was an important game, to continue fighting for a dream, which is more than a dream,” Fabregas said.
“We’ve taken on this journey with organisation and quality.
“We are still there with one game remaining, and we’ll see what happens”.
