Serie A
Matchday 36
AC Milan v Atalanta
San Siro
Milan, Italy
Sunday, 10 May 2026
Kick-off is at 19:45
While the race for UEFA Champions League football in Serie A continues to roll on, AC Milan will continue their bid to finish in a lofty position on the log as they prepare to do battle against Atalanta this weekend.
Milan will enter their next game sitting in third position, after accumulating 67 points from 35 matches. After being considered as outside contenders for the Scudetto, inconsistent results during the second-half of the campaign saw the club redirect their ambitions to qualifying for the UEFA Champions League.
Their up and down form is perhaps summed up in their run during the last five matches, after they took home just one win, three losses and the single draw during this period. Also, a 2-0 loss against Sassuolo meant that they will go into Matchday 36 sitting two points away from the desired fourth positioned barrier.
Atalanta, who are in seventh place, have noted 55 points from 35 matches so far as they make a last-ditch attempt to make the UEFA Conference league spot.
Following a 0-0 draw with Genoa last time out, Atalanta are seven points behind sixth placed Como while they recorded one victory, two draws and two defeats in their last five.

Still in the hunt for European football, AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri believes that his side dropped points ‘temporarily’ dropped points and urged his side to see out the season in a strong manner.
"At this moment, no. We must take responsibility for the situation,” Allegri said.
“We have temporarily dropped a lot of points, but we are still in the top four. The maths says we need two wins out of three.
“We must convince ourselves that we are capable of beating any team; we must not throw away ten months of work."
