After going on an unbeaten run in April, Cesc Fabregas and his charges will hope for the same in the month of May as they prepare to take on Parma in Matchday 35 of the Italian Serie A.

Como will be without Assane Diao for the remainder of the campaign after he sustained a foot injury during a recent training session. Parma on the other hand, are expected to be without the services of Adrian Bernabe, Matteo Cancellieri, Nahuel Estevez and Alessandro Vogliacco who all suffered respective injuries on the 24 April.

In what was news that left Como fans shattered; the club confirmed that Diao will miss the rest of the season owing to an awkward metatarsal injury in his right foot.

“Como 1907 confirms that Assane Diao sustained an injury to his right foot during training yesterday. Following medical evaluation, he successfully underwent osteosynthesis surgery on the fifth metatarsal of his right foot,” Como revealed on their website.

“Unfortunately, this means Assane will be unavailable for the remainder of the season as he begins his recovery process. The procedure was successful, and he is already on the road to rehabilitation.

“The entire club stands with Assane during this time, and we look forward to seeing him back on the pitch, stronger than ever, next season.”
