As a team slowly on the rise, Liverpool could record their third consecutive win in the Premier League this weekend when they take on Crystal Palace at Anfield on Saturday.
The outgoing Premier League champions will have to settle for a UEFA Champions League position as their silver lining in what has been a largely turbulent campaign.
Liverpool won their most recent league game 2-1 against Everton, ending the weekend in fifth place with 55 points from 33 matches.
Overall, Liverpool recorded two wins, two losses and one draw in their last five Premier League assignments, while Palace noted two victories, two stalemates and one defeat in the same number of matches.
Palace drew 0-0 with West Ham in their most recent league game and subsequently took their tally to 43 points from 32 games in 13th position.

Reflecting on Liverpool’s win in the recent Merseyside Derby, Arne Slot reiterated the club’s desire to finish within the UEFA Champions League spots once again.
"Of course, it is very important because we are focused on qualifying for the Champions League," Slot said.
"But the lead up to this game wasn't as much about the league table.
“It was also about representing Liverpool."
