Novak Djokovic will be targeting his fourth
US Open title when he takes part in the eagerly anticipated grand slam tournament.
The Serbian superstar is undoubtedly the best male tennis player in the world and he is currently ranked as world number one by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).
Djokovic, who has been world number one for a record total of 335 weeks, has won the US Open men's singles title three times in 2011, 2015 and 2018.

The 34-year-old has won an all-time joint record 20 Grand Slam men's singles titles (shared with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal).
Overall, Djokovic has won 85 ATP singles titles, including a record nine Australian Open titles and a joint record of 36 Masters events (shared with Nadal).
The Monaco-based player competed at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games where he lost to Pablo Carreno Busta in the bronze medal match.
Winning the 2021 US Open would see Djokovic achieve a Calendar-Year Grand Slam, a feat in men's singles tennis achieved only by Don Budge in 1938 and Rod Laver in 1962 and 1969.

World number three Alexander Zverev, who won gold at the Tokyo Olympic Games, has backed Djokovic as the favourite to win this year's US Open title.

"I do think that he's still the favourite," Zverev said despite having defeated Djokovic to reach the final at the Olympic Games.
"I do think he's going to be playing incredible tennis there. He's going to be fresh, and I think there is also other guys that are in very good form.
"Let's see how it goes ... I still have a lot of work ahead of me. I have to find my rhythm in New York as well."
