Rory McIlroy will be looking to win the
BMW Championship for the second time in his career when he tees off at the Wilmington Country Club.
The Northern Irish superstar won this tournament in 2012 after a final round of 5-under par on Sunday put him at 20-under par for the event.
McIlroy bested Lee Westwood and Phil Mickelson by two strokes overall and finished his Sunday round with six birdies and one bogey.

The four-time major champion has won two tournaments in the current 2021-22 PGA Tour season and he is currently placed third on the Official World Golf Rankings.
McIlroy's maiden win of the season came in October last year as he won the CJ Cup at The Summit Club in Las Vegas, Nevada by one stroke.
The three-time PGA Tour Player of the Year then successfully defended his title at the 2022 RBC Canadian Open, shooting a final-round 62 to win by two shots ahead of Tony Finau.
Then last month, McIlroy went into the final round of The Open Championship tied for the lead alongside Viktor Hovland and he shot a final-round 70 to finish in third place.

“I look forward to competing again at the BMW PGA Championship,” said McIlroy on Golf Monthly last month.
“It’s an event I always love playing – the West Course has been good to me in the past, and the fans are incredibly supportive.
“I’ve had a consistent year so far and having a chance to win again at the iconic Wentworth would help my season-long campaign.”
Tiger Woods and Dustin Johnson are the most decorated golfers in the history of the BMW Championship having won the tournament twice each.
