Francesco Bagnaia will be eager to successfully retain the
Austrian MotoGP title and move closer to retaining his MotoGP world championship.

The Ducati Ducati Lenovo Team rider came close to winning the recent 2023 British MotoGP which took place on August 6 and he finished as the runners-up.
Bagnaia started on the fourth grid and he passed Alex Marquez and Jack Miller, and he went on to finish second behind race winner Alex Espargaro.
2022 Austrian MotoGP
The Italian Grand Prix motorcycle racer was in his element at the 2022 Austrian MotoGP as he won the race having started second on the grid.
It was the former Moto2 World Champion's maiden win in Austria having finished second in the 2021 Austrian MotoGP.
Why Bagnaia could win the 2023 Austrian MotoGP
The 26-year-old has been the most consistent rider this season hence he is placed at the top of the riders' standings.
Having won this season's Portuguese MotoGP, Spanish MotoGP, Italian MotoGP and Dutch MotoGP, Bagnaia is a clear favourite to win this weekend's race.
What did he say?
“It takes time to understand how to be constant in this category,” Bagnaia said after the 2023 British MotoGP.
“I worked a lot with my team, at home and the track, to understand, to improve myself. Now the consistency is there.
"When everything is okay, we know that we can fight for top positions. This is something that right now for me is the only goal.”
