Lando Norris will be keen to boost his bid to win the Formula One world title by successfully defending the
Dutch Grand Prix.

The McLaren driver secured a podium spot at the Hungarian Grand Prix on August 3, the most recent race on the 2025 Formula One World Championship calendar.
Norris started on the third grid and went on to win the race, achieving his 38th podium and ninth victory in Formula One, while also collecting 25 points.
Formula One title ambitions
The British racing driver is still placed second in the World Drivers' Championship standings, having accumulated 275 points.
However, Norris is now nine points behind leader Oscar Piastri of McLaren and 88 points ahead of third-placed Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing.
Why Norris could win the 2025 Dutch Grand Prix
The five-time Autosport Awards British Competition Driver of the Year was in his element at the 2024 Dutch Grand Prix as he started on the first grid and went on to win the race.
Norris is in top form at the moment, having won three of the last four races in the ongoing season and he is the clear favourite to win this weekend's event.
What did he say?
"The perfect result today. Another 1-2 and I’m really pleased to win the 200th Grand Prix for McLaren. It means a lot to me, and it’s even more rewarding because it was a tough race," Norris said after winning the 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix.
"We weren’t planning on the one-stop at the beginning, but after the first lap it was the only option to challenge the cars around us. I knew our pace was good, even in the first stint behind George (Russell), so I knew I could push in clean air.
"It’s always a gamble, but it also requires no mistakes, good laps, good strategy and good pit stops, and that’s what we had today. Credit to Oscar who put up a good charge. I look forward to plenty more of these after the summer break."
