Yet to taste defeat during the opening stages of the 2025/26
La Liga season, Espanyol will now turn their attention to Osasuna on home soil this coming Sunday.
Espanyol were among the biggest winners during matchday one in LaLiga after bagging an impressive 2-1 win over title challengers Atletico Madrid at home on 12 August. While Julian Alvarez gave Atletico the lead moments before the break, Espanyol fought back in the second half owing to goals by Miguel Rubio and Pere Milla.

th place Osasuna suffered a 1-0 loss to Real Madrid on the opening day.
Thereafter, Osasuna got back into the groove of things with a 1-0 victory against Valencia at El Sadar on Sunday.
With Osasuna completing the victory against Valencia, coach Alessio Lisci recently expressed that he wants his side to play an attractive brand of football this season.
“What I want is for us to play a very good game, as I always do, at home or away. That’s what brings us closer to winning,” Lisci said.
In what was news that made headlines among Espanyol fans, the club recently announced the signing of Luca Koleosho, who signed a loan deal from Burnley.
“Luca Koleosho is returning to RCD Espanyol. The winger has agreed to rejoin the club on loan from Burnley, where he has played for the last two seasons,” Espanyol confirmed.
