Serie A 2025/26
Matchday 1
Juventus vs Parma
Allianz Stadium
Turin, Italy
Sunday, 24 August 2025
Kick-off is at 19:45
Juventus will hope to better their fourth-place finish in
Serie A last season when they kick-start the new season against Parma on home soil.
After crashing out of the FIFA Club World Cup through a 1-0 loss against Real Madrid in the Round of 16 on 1 July, Juventus took part in their first pre-season game a month later.
Following a 2-2 draw with Reggiana on 2 August, Juventus then bounced back with 2-1 victories against Borussia Dortmund and Atalanta thereafter as the Italian giants wrapped up their pre-season planning.
Parma recorded a mixed bag of results in their preparations in the last couple of weeks, which began with a 0-0 draw alongside Werder Bremen on 26 July.
Nicknamed ‘The Crusaders’ in Italy, Parma then shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw with Mallorca, which was followed by a 3-1 win against Pro Vercelli and a 2-1 defeat against Heidenheim. Nonetheless, Parma will go into the new Serie A season on the back of a 2-0 win against Pescara in the Coppa Italia first round, in a match that took place last Sunday.
Speaking after Juventus’ 2-1 win against Atalanta, Tudor believes that his side was spurred on by a good team spirit during pre-season.
"I saw a lot of things that were pleasing, for us it was the last test before the season starts and the team responded well to what we asked for, despite the fact that the opponent was of good quality,” Tudor said.
“Vlahovic? Him coming off the bench was useful; he scored, he helped his teammates and it was right to let him play. Bremer is also back; he's fundamental for us, not only technically but also as a leader.
“He needed minutes, his condition will grow game after game. I want a Juve team that knows how to combine quality, organisation and fighting spirit. The group has enthusiasm, and in the locker room there is good energy”.
