American challenger Caleb Plant will battle Jose Uzcategui for the IBF World Super Middleweight Title on Sunday, 13 January 2019, at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles.
The 26-year-old Plant is undefeated since turning professional in 2014, with a record of 17-0-0 (10 knockouts).
‘Sweet Hands’ moved into position to challenge for the title with an impressive unanimous decision victory over tough veteran Rogelio Medina in February 2018.
His opponent Uzcategui hails from Venezuela and has a professional record of 28-2-0 (23 knockouts).
In his last match Uzcategui scored a unanimous decision over Ezequiel Osvaldo Maderna in September 2018. However, it was not a title match, making this his first defence of the Super Middleweight crown.
