Los Angeles Lakers will face off with the San Antonio Spurs in a National Basketball Association (
NBA) match on December 24.
This will be the 180th NBA meeting between the two giants in regular-season games since 1976.
The Spurs have the slight edge having registered 90 wins compared to the Lakers' 89 victories.

However, it was the Lakers, who emerged victorious in their last meeting which was on 14 November 2021.
Anthony Davis was influential as he notched up 34 points and 15 rebounds to help the Lakers beat the Spurs 114-106 at Staples Center.
The win ended the Lakers' two-match winless run against the Spurs, who had claimed a 118-109 win on January 8 and 125-121 victory on October 27.
The Lakers are sitting in seventh place on the Western Conference standings having recorded 16 victories and 14 defeats as they battle to secure a spot in the play-offs.
While the Spurs placed 12th on the Western Conference standings having registered 11 wins and 18 losses as they continue to struggle.

The Lakers have been marred by injuries, and of late, the COVID Health and Safety Protocols, and it has affected their performance on the court having lost 110-92 to the Minnesota Timberwolves on December 18.
They had five players, who were placed in the Health and Safety Protocols namely, Malik Monk, Dwight Howard, Talen Horton-Tucker, Avery Bradley and Austin Reaves.
"It's just craziness, there's chaos you know involved with like just every few hours you're hearing a new guy's out or in this case, new guy's in you thought was out," said Lakers coach Frank Vogel.
"It's just a crazy time, but you know we're not letting it impact us in terms of trying to win games, like I said no excuses man, you know we had enough to win the game tonight, we didn't play well enough"
