The Atlanta Hawks will square off with the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association (NBA) match on December 31.
This will be the 337th match between the Hawks and Lakers in the NBA regular-season games since the league was established in 1949.
The Lakers have dominated this rivalry, having recorded 194 wins compared to the Hawks' 142 victories.

The last meeting between the two teams was on 30 January 2022 in a match that took place at the Hawks' home ground, State Farm Arena.
Malik Monk scored 33 points and Anthony Davis added 27, but it wasn't enough as the Lakers succumbed to a 129-121 defeat to the Hawks.
The Hawks are sitting in the ninth spot in the Eastern Conference, having recorded 16 wins and 16 defeats from 32 matches.
Meanwhile, the Lakers are placed 13th in the Western Conference, having registered 13 victories and 18 defeats from 31 games.

The Chicago Bulls handed the Hawks a 110-108 loss at the buzzer on Thursday morning, December 22 at State Farm Arena.
“They get the ball in the hands of [DeMar] DeRozan and we know what he’s capable of doing and he delivered tonight,” Hawks head coach Nate McMillan said.
“We wanted to try to get some traps on him and he did a good job of getting in the middle of the floor and making it hard, more difficult to trap when you got shooters on either side of him.
"So they did a good job of executing and they got the matchups that they wanted and they won the matchup.”
