Atalanta could bag back-to-back wins in Serie A for the first time since September this weekend when they take on Genoa at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium on Sunday.
The Bergamo side were led by a motivated Gianluca Scamacca last time out following a 2-1 win against Cagliari on home soil.
Atalanta thus returned to winning ways after a sticky spell of results that include two wins in three matches over the course of their last five Serie A encounters. Their run of form has seen them linger in 12th position on the table with 19 points to their name so far.
Genoa on the other hand have been struggling to yield a positive run of results lately, which was summed up by their 2-1 defeat against Inter Milan during matchday 15.
Sitting in a lowly 16th place, Genoa will head into their next fixture with two wins, two draws and the single defeat in their last five league assignments.

Atalanta coach Raffaele Palladino reserved special praises for Scamacca after their victory against Cagliari, where he mentioned that the player showed a great deal of professionalism while playing with a fever.
“He showed great professionalism, gritting his teeth and playing despite his fever,” Palladino said.
“Just two hours before the match, he had a fever of 38°C, but I told him that the best performances often come from the most difficult circumstances.
“He showed great professionalism."
