2019/20 Spanish La Liga
Eibar v Valencia
Estadio Municipal de Ipurúa
Thursday, 25 June 2020
Eibar will lock horns with Valencia
in a Spanish La Liga
match at the Estadio Municipal de Ipurúa on June 25.
The Gunsmiths managed to hold Getafe to a 1-1 draw away in their previous league game which was played on June 20.
As a result, Eibar are winless in their last five matches in the league having recorded three defeats and two draws.
They are also winless in their last three home matches in the league having registered one draw and two defeats.
Meanwhile, Valencia defeated Osasuna 2-0 at home in their previous league game which was played on June 21.
The win saw the Bats snap their three-match winless run in the league having recorded one defeat and two draws.
However, they are winless in their last six away league matches having registered four draws and two defeats.
Albert Celades, the Valencia manager, says it was important for his side to secure a win ahead of their clash with Eibar.
“I don’t think that this was a ‘match ball’, but with the points that remain, there is less of a margin all the time," Celades said.
"I would give a lot of importance to the morale factor. We needed to win and to keep a clean sheet."
The last meeting between Eibar and Valencia in a league encounter was on 04 January 2020. The Bats secured a narrow 1-0 win over the Gunsmiths in a match which was played at the Estadio de Mestalla.
