The Miami Heat will look to get the better of the Brooklyn Nets when the teams meet in an NBA Regular Season game at the FTX Arena in Miami, Florida on the morning of Sunday 13 February 2022. Tip-off is at 02:00.
The Heat are well in the race to end at the top of the Eastern Conference standings, as they put together a campaign which underlines their status as one of the dark horses to claim NBA Championship glory. Nonetheless, Miami are still vulnerable to surprise defeats against teams which use their possession efficiently, as was the case in succumbing to the Toronto Raptors recently.

"This game was going to be decided by taking care of the ball, getting more shots on goal, and in the trenches, and I would say we categorically lost those departments, particularly in the trenches," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said.
Tyler Herro added, "The kind of outdid us at our own game. This is the type of game we want and they just out-toughed us, outplayed us. They deserved it more than us."
The Nets, meanwhile, will see themselves as equals (if not superiors) to the Heat in their Eastern Conference ambitions – this despite a recent slump in form which angered James Harden and pushed him to call out his teammates for not backing up their words.

"I think we've done too much talking," Harden said. "It's just, we got to go out there and do it, and do it consistently. We have times when we're great, and we have times when we're really bad. We just got to find some consistency throughout the course of games more times than not."
In head-to-head stats, the Heat and the Nets have met in 130 Regular Season games since 1988-89, with Maimi claiming 76 wins compared to 54 for Brooklyn. The teams’ last Regular Season meeting was in October 2021, with the Heat winning 106-93 away thanks to 24 points from Bam Adebayo.
