"We played really well. As the coach, seeing the team play like that is a pleasure. It was a great performance, and I congratulated the lads, who were determined and attentive," Inzaghi said after their win over Milan.
"We've won two derbies in the space of 20 days. It wasn't easy and I'm happy. Now, we'll look ahead with confidence and try to get all our players back. We need to focus on ourselves. Let's not forget that we had a very demanding quarter-final against Atalanta on Tuesday.
"Our first-half display was close to perfection. In the second half, meanwhile, we were always in control. Now, we'll enjoy this win. We came into this game on the back of an excellent performance against Atalanta. Winning a derby in this manner is always very pleasing."
Inter thrashed Sampdoria 3-0 in their last meeting in the league which was on 29 October 2022 at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
The Big Grass Snake are enjoying a four-match unbeaten run against the Blue Circled in the Serie A having recorded three victories and one draw.
