As a club making a steep upward trajectory in Serie A this season, Como will once again make a push for a lofty place on the table as they prepare to take on Fiorentina this weekend.
Como are currently sixth on the Serie A log and have amassed 41 points from 23 games played so far. I Lariani, as they're fondly known, last recorded a 0-0 draw with Atalanta in a match that took place on 1 February, at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia.
Regarding their recent form sheet, Como jotted down two wins, two draws and one loss in their previous handful of league games.
While Como are on the up, Fiorentina are battling to move away from the Serie A relegation zone.
As it stands, Fiorentina are in 18th position after 24 matches and are three points away from safety. Fiorentina are winless in their last three ties and go into this weekend’s fixture on the back of a 2-2 stalemate with Torino. Overall, Fiorentina bagged just one win in their last five and noted two draws and two losses during this period.

With Como’s draw alongside Atalanta in mind, coach Cesc Fabregas expressed that his side was purely unlucky given their relentless attacking pressure.
"The ball didn't want to go in. It happens, this is football, but I also want to congratulate Atalanta, who wouldn't give in, and played their game,” Fabregas said.
“Let's say we were unlucky, but when their goalkeeper makes nine saves, it's not like me or my assistant can come off the touchline and put the ball in the net.
“We created nine clear-cut scoring opportunities, so let's lift our heads and keep going."
