Los murciélagos' inconsistent form continued as they slumped to a 1-0 loss away to crosstown rivals Levante last weekend. The result leaves them just seven points above the relegation zone.

"It's a pity not to be going home with the win. We came here to win. The attitude was there for us, but what we lacked were clear chances on goal," Valencia midfielder Christian Oliva told VCF Media following their defeat to Levante.

"Now we have to focus on Granada. We'll be looking ahead to that game and focusing on winning it."

Valencia defender Toni Lato added: "It's unfinished business for us, achieving two victories in a row. We didn't manage that today. We need to take that step up, and that starts with winning next weekend and then making it two in a row.

"The only thing that we can do is focus on next weekend and the next game. These next two days will be good for us, as we will rest up and disconnect ahead of a massive game next weekend, in which we will be fighting for our lives and have to take the three points."

Granada continue to find a balance between European and domestic football and beat Real Sociedad 1-0 in their most recent LaLiga outing. Victory kept them in eighth spot, six points above Valencia.

When the two teams met in Granada earlier this season, Nazaries claimed a dramatic 2-1 win. Kevin Gameiro opened the scoring for Valencia but goals from Kenedy and Jorge Molina sealed all three points for the hosts in a match that produced three red cards -- one for Granada and two for Los murciélagos.
