The Charlotte Hornets will be out to sting the Orlando Magic when the teams meet in an NBA Regular Season game at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina on the morning of Saturday 15 January 2022. Tip-off is at 01:00.
The Hornets find themselves in mid-table in the Eastern Conference, with their hopes of reaching the Playoffs in the balance as things stand. Charlotte, though, showed their class with an emphatic 140-111 rout of the Detroit Pistons last week, in which Kelly Oubre Jr. hit a career-high nine three-pointers.

"I give all the credit to my teammates," Oubre said. "We had 39 assists tonight... I am blessed to be able to play with a bunch of unselfish guys out there who allow me to continue with a hot stretch."
"When Kelly gets hot, he's tough to stop," Hornets coach James Borrego said. "It's great to see him play with that joy, that happiness and that confidence. He had a big time fourth quarter and our guys kept feeding him."
The Magic are enduring a season to forget, as they ‘compete’ with the Pistons to see which team can end with the worst record (across both Conferences). Last week they were outclassed 116-106 at home to the Philadelphia 76ers.

"This is one of them things that's just not easy," Cole Anthony said of the Magic's struggles. "But I love this game and I love this city. … I'm ecstatic to be here and we have an opportunity to build something here."
In head-to-head stats, the Hornets and the Magic have met in 112 Regular Season games since 1989-90, with Charlotte claiming 57 wins compared to 55 for Orlando. The teams’ last Regular Season meeting was in November 2021, with the Hornets winning 106-99 away thanks to 27 points from Terry Rozier.
