Sevilla FC will battle it out with Getafe CF in a Spanish La Liga match at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán on January 8.
This will be the 35th meeting between the two teams in La Liga since the 2004/05 campaign which was Getafe's debut season in the Spanish top flight.
Sevilla have the upper hand in this rivalry, having recorded 16 wins compared to Getafe's 12 victories, while six games ended in a draw.

Sevilla continued their dominance over Getafe in their last meeting in the league as they won 1-0 at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán on 9 January 2022.
However, Sevilla suffered a 2-1 loss to Real Sociedad in their last home match in this competition on November 9.
The defeat extended the Sevillistas' winless run to seven matches at home in La Liga, having registered three draws and four defeats.
While Getafe succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to UD Almeria in their last away match in La Liga on November 9.

The loss ended the Deep Blue Ones' four-match unbeaten run on the road, having recorded two victories and two draws as the away side.
"It is admirable," Getafe manager Quique Sanchez Florez said after their win over lower division side Diocesano in a Copa Del Rey match on December 20.
"The same thing happens every season, you play against teams in lower leagues and they are super professional, motivated guys. They want to give their best.
"They tried very hard and sometimes they made it very difficult for us. I always like to congratulate them because they make a huge effort to surprise us. They forced us to play a good game."
