Matchday 18

Valencia CF v UD Almeria

Estadio de Mestalla
Valencia, Spain
Monday, 23 January 2023
Kick-off is at 22h00
Valencia CF will go head to head with UD Almeria in a Spanish La Liga match at the Estadio de Mestalla on January 23.
The Bats succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to Cadiz CF at home in their previous league game which took place on January 6.
As a result, Valencia are winless in their last two matches in this competition having recorded two consecutive defeats.
Valencia have lost two of their last three matches at home in La Liga, while the other game ended in a victory at the Estadio de Mestalla.
"I'm very proud of the team and of the game they had," Valencia manager Gennaro Gattuso said after their defeat to Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup semi-finals on January 11.
"We played with a great mentality. It is the way we have to be. Against Cádiz we lacked that. We have to continue like this, because we are a young team, which has quality and mentality.
"Today we demonstrated that on the pitch; we played 120 minutes against a great team, with great players and a great coach. We lost, but we have to continue like this."
