The
Boston Celtics will be looking to bounce back from only their seventh defeat of the season when the Utah Jazz visit the TD Garden on the morning of Saturday, January 6.
The Celtics narrowly lost 127-123 on the road to Western Conference high-flyers Oklahoma City Thunder on January 3, ending a six-match winning streak.
Joe Mazzulla's side still lead the Eastern Conference with a .788 winning percentage thanks largely to the exploits of Jayson Tatum, who is enjoying another fine season.
The forward is averaging 27 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game, and posted 30 points in the defeat to the Thunder, although he was outscored by team-mate Kristaps Porzingis (34 pts).

Mazzulla admitted he expected a closely-run game against the Northwest Division franchise in what was the first meeting of the season between the two teams.
"I thought it was two great teams," he said. "The game went about how I thought it would go as far as it coming down to the last couple of possessions."
Results are starting to pick up for the Jazz after they struggled to get going in the opening two months of the 2023-24 campaign.
A 127-90 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on January 2 was their seventh win in 10 outings, but Will Hardy's side are still languishing in 12th place in the Western Conference.
Jordan Clarkson made history when he stepped off the bench against the Mavs to post the first regular-season triple-double by a Utah player since 2008.

The point guard registered 20 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds - the first triple-double of his career - and Hardy revealed that Clarkson has been working hard to expand his game.
"He's adapted to a new role and he's really trying to expand how he contributes to winning," Hardy said.
"It's not just about scoring points. If I could have picked somebody on our team right now to break the streak, it would have been Jordan."
