Matchday 21

Dacia Arena
Udine, Italy
Saturday, 20 January 2024
Kick-off is at 21h45

Udinese Calcio will square off with an in-form AC Milan side in an Italian Serie A match at the Dacia Arena on 20 January.

Current Form

The Little Zebras managed to hold ACF Fiorentina to a 2-2 draw away on 14 January and they are winless in their last two matches in the league.

Udinese lost to SS Lazio in their last home game in this competition and the defeat ended their six-match unbeaten run at the Dacia Arena.

Meanwhile, Milan emerged as 3-1 winners over AS Roma at home on 14 January as they extended their unbeaten run to five matches in Serie A.

Rossoneri are also undefeated in their last two away matches in the league having recorded one draw and one victory on the road.

Team News

Gerard Deulofeu, Enzo Ebosse, Vivaldo Semedo and Jaka Bijol are currently on Udinese's injury list, but the Little Zebras have no suspension issues.

On the other hand, Milan have a long injury list which is made up of Mattia Caldara, Pierre Kalulu, Tommaso Pobega, Malick Thiaw, Fikayo Tomori and Alessandro Florenzi.

Their Milan teammates Ismaël Bennacer and Samuel Chukwueze are currently on national team duty, but Rossoneri have no suspension concerns.

Quotes

“Clearly, at 2-1, anything can happen. We had wasted chances to get the third goal and were starting to feel tired, but we got there eventually," Milan manager Stefano Pioli said after his side's win over Roma.

“Playing against Roma's 3-5-2, we make the full-backs and wide men work hard. We tried at times to wait for them to come forward, as otherwise it would leave spaces for [Stephan] El Shaarawy and [Romelu] Lukaku.

"While we didn't follow [Lorenzo] Pellegrini's run on the penalty incident. These are small things that need to be improved, I thought we were overall balanced tactically."

Head-to-Head

Udinese defeated Milan 1-0 in their last meeting in the league which was on 4 November 2023 at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

As a result, the Little Zebras are undefeated in their last two league matches against Rossoneri having recorded two wins in a row.
