After dropping points in their most recent Serie A assignments, Atalanta and Parma will hope to return to winning ways when they meet at the Gewiss Stadium this Sunday.
Atalanta have enjoyed a decent spell of results in the last couple of weeks, while their three-match winning streak came to a halt following a 1-1 draw with Pisa at Stadio Romeo Anconetani last Friday.
As it stands, Atalanta are seventh on the log with 32 points to their name after 21 matches. Regarding their form, Atalanta recorded three wins, one defeat and a draw in their last five games.
While Atalanta are in pursuit of a place in European football once more, Parma are in 12th spot with 23 points to their name so far. In their most recent Serie A fixture, Parma and Genoa shared the spoils in a 0-0 draw at Ennio Tardini on Sunday.
Also, Parma’s form sheet has not made for good reading in the last couple weeks after noting three stalemates, one loss and one victory in their last handful of matches.
Speaking after Atalanta’s draw with Pisa, The Nerazzurri coach Raffaele Palladino believes that his side did not do enough to win the match and needed to get stuck in regardless of their tactical plans.
"We probably would have lost this game a month and a half ago, and instead we took home a point,” Palladino said.
"There's nothing technical or tactical here; there are no game systems. You have to understand these games, you have to get into them.”
