The Cherries secured a 1-0 win over the Red Devils in a match which was played at Vitality Stadium.
Eddie Howe, the Bournemouth manager, says they need to start winning their matches in order to avoid relegation.
"Very disappointed, really hurting at the moment. The run of results we've been on at the moment has been very difficult to take," Howe said.
"They are all big and they get bigger. We're aware of that and we've got to make sure we're at our very best."
Manchester are undefeated in their last four home matches in the league having recorded one draw and three successive wins.
They thrashed a hapless Sheffield United side 3-0 in their last home match which was played on June 24.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth are winless in their last seven away matches in the league having registered seven consecutive defeats.
They succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers in their last away game which was played on June 24.
