Hideki Matsuyama will be one of the favourites to win the 2022
3M Open having already tasted success in the PGA Tour this year.
The Japanese star is the highest ranked player (14th) in the Official World Golf Rankings among the players who will compete in this year's 3M Open.
Matsuyama has won one tournament on the PGA Tour this year as he clinched the Sony Open which was played in Hawaii in January.

The 30-year-old made up a five-shot deficit on the back nine to get into a playoff with Russell Henley and he then made an eagle on the first extra hole to claim the victory.
The win at the Sony Open was Matsuyama's eighth win on the PGA Tour, tying K. J. Choi for most tour victories by an Asian-born player.
The 2013 Japan Golf Tour money list winner clinched the 2021 Masters Tournament - becoming both the first Japanese player and the first Asian-born player to win the golf major.
Matsuyama, who is a two-time Waste Management Phoenix Open winner, will be hoping to become the first non-American golfer to win the 3M Open.

The 3M Open officials were pleased to announce that Matsuyama will compete in the fourth edition of the tournament.
In his only appearance at the 3M Open, the former world number two finished seventh in 2019-the tournament’s inaugural year.
“We are certainly glad to welcome Hideki back to the 3M Open," said Mike Welch, 3M Open Tournament Director.
"As he brings an incredible talent to what we are confident will be an impressive four-day competition."
