France secured a narrow 1-0 win over Portugal in the UEFA Nations League game that was played at Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica in Lisbon.

Antoine Griezmann, the France striker, is looking forward to facing Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo and he backed his teammate Karim Benzema.

"Cristiano is as dominant as ever. He's complete and scores with his left foot, his right and with his head. He's an example to everybody," Griezmann said.

"He's a source of inspiration to everybody. It's extraordinary what he's doing at 36 years old. Him and Leo [Messi] won't have equivalents. We're lucky to be on the same pitch as them."

"He [Benzema] needs to score but he helps us a lot in attack. When he scores one, the tap will start to flow. We're behind him and he has the support of the coaches. We need to be patient and he's getting chances."
