Manchester United will attempt to secure the domestic cup double for the first time when they take on Manchester City in the
FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday, June 3.
Erik ten Hag became only the second manager in the club's illustrious history to win silverware in his first season at the helm after guiding United to the EFL Cup title in February following a 2-0 victory over Newcastle.
The Dutchman is now looking to match the feat achieved by Jose Mourinho, who won the EFL Cup and the Europa League in his debut campaign at Old Trafford in 2016-17.
United have claimed the Premier League and FA Cup double on three occasions (1993–94, 1995–96, 1998–99), the Premier League and UEFA Champions League double twice (1998–99, 2007–08) and the Premier League and EFL Cup double once (2008–09).

They are now aiming to add the EFL Cup and FA Cup double to that list in a bid to close within one of Arsenal's record 14 titles.
The Red Devils enjoyed great success in the world's oldest cup competition under Sir Alex Ferguson, winning the trophy five times, although they have only triumphed once in the subsequent nine years since his retirement.
That came in 2015-16 when Louis van Gaal led the team to glory with a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace after extra time. Their next trip to the final under Mourinho resulted in a 1-0 loss to Chelsea in 2017-18.
United goalkeeper David de Gea, who won the Golden Glove for keeping 17 clean sheets in the league this past season, has seen a marked improvement since Ten Hag took charge and insists the players are determined to make more history against their 'noisy neighbours'.
"Tomorrow we recover and we start to prepare for [the final]," De Gea told MUTV after the 2-1 win over Fulham on the final day of the campaign.
"We know it's a big final, a special game, and the whole year we've been fighting to be in the position to win titles and we will try absolutely everything to try to win.
"The improvement is there, of course, we still have far [to go] but [it is] a massive improvement from last season. Winning a cup, finishing third, it's never easy to finish in Champions League places in England, and then we have another final, a big final - I think at the moment it is a great year."
