2022/23 UEFA Champions League
Final
Manchester City v Inter Milan
Ataturk Olympic Stadium
Istanbul, Turkey
Saturday, 10 June 2023
Kick-off is at 21h00
Inter Milan head coach Simone Inzaghi is looking to etch his name into the club's annals when he pits wits against Manchester City counterpart Pep Guardiola in the
UEFA Champions League final at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium on Saturday, June 10.
The Nerazzurri have won Europe's biggest club prize on three occasions, with Helenio Herrera guiding them to back-to-back European Cup titles in 1964 and 1965 before Jose Mourinho lifted the Champions League trophy in 2010 as part of a historic treble.
Inzaghi is now aiming to join that illustrious list as he pursues the double, having added the Coppa Italia to their trophy cabinet after beating Fiorentina 2-1 in the final on May 24.

Inter have only lost twice in the competition this season, both times against Bayern Munich in the group stages, but they are unbeaten in their last six matches after seeing off arch-rivals AC MIlan 3-0 on aggregate in the semi-finals.
They've kept eight clean sheets in 12 games and were involved in two exciting 3-3 draws against Barcelona (in the group stages) and Benfica (in the quarter-finals), which highlights their threat in front of goal.
Federico Dimarco has enjoyed a fine European campaign despite his failure to get on the scoresheet. The left-sided player has had a hand in five of their 19 goals, putting him two behind City star Kevin De Bruyne, who leads the way in the competition for assists with seven. Inter will need his creativity in Istanbul, Turkey if they hope to inflict a first defeat of 2022-23 on the Citizens.

This is the first competitive encounter between the two teams, although they've met on three occasions in pre-season friendlies. Inter triumphed 2-0 twice in 2010 before City emerged victorious by the same scoreline in 2011.
Inzaghi's side closed out the Serie A season with a 1-0 win over Torino last Saturday to secure third place ahead of the Rossoneri. The Italian tactician admitted they suffered a few setbacks in the final three months but insists it only made them stronger.
"Our journey in the cup competitions has been perfect, that's clear," Inzaghi told InterTV. "Saturday's match will be our 57th of the season, and the most important.
"We head to Istanbul with a few defeats behind us which maybe hurt us at the moment, but which made us grow and improve."
