Max Verstappen will be looking to make history at the
Canadian Grand Prix by becoming the first driver to win the race four times in a row.

The Red Bull Racing driver failed to secure a podium spot at the Spanish Grand Prix on June 1, the most recent race on the 2025 Formula One World Championship calendar.
Verstappen started on the third grid and went on to finish 10th, missing out on his 117th podium in Formula One, but he got one point from the race as consolation.
Formula One title ambitions
The former Van Amersfoort Racing driver is placed third in the World Drivers' Championship standings, having collected 137 points.
Verstappen is 39 points behind second-placed Lando Norris of McLaren and 49 points behind leader Oscar Piastri of McLaren.
Why Verstappen could win the 2025 Canadian Grand Prix
The reigning Formula One champion has proved to be unstoppable in the Canadian Grand Prix in the last three races, winning all of them.
Having won this season's Japanese Grand Prix and Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, Verstappen will be confident of winning the Canadian Grand Prix for the fifth time.
What did he say?
“We had an exciting strategy and good race in Barcelona, [until] the Safety Car came out," Verstappen said after the 2025 Spanish Grand Prix.
"Our tyre choice at the end and some moves after the [Safety Car] restart fuelled my frustration, leading to a move that was not right and shouldn't have happened.
“I always give everything out there for the team and emotions can run high. You win some together, you lose some together. See you in Montreal.”
