Some of the most outstanding players in the
National Basketball Association (NBA) will be in action in the finals when the Oklahoma City Thunder meet the Indiana Pacers.
Key Players
Gilgeous-Alexander was recently named the NBA Most Valuable Player and led the league in scoring with 32.7 points per game, also marking his first NBA finals appearance in the postseason.
The shooting guard averaged 31.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 8.2 assists, and 1.8 steals per game en route to the first NBA Finals appearance of his career and the Thunder’s first since 2012.
While Pascal Siakam, who earned a third All-Star appearance, was named the Eastern Conference finals MVP en route to his second NBA Finals appearance as the Pacers' most consistent player.
The power forward averaged 24.8 points per game on 52.4% shooting from the field and 50% from three-point range and he will carry his side's hopes of winning the Finals against the Thunder.
Current Form
Thunder are undefeated in their last two games, having secured back-to-back wins against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference Finals.
Pacers, on the other hand, have been inconsistent as they won two of their four games against the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference Finals, while the other two ended in defeat.
What was said
"We got a team out there that's waiting for us, that's serious. They're the best team in the NBA," Siakam said about the Thunder.
"So that's the challenge. I was telling the guys, for me, I got [to the Finals] when I was in Year 3 and I thought I would get back there a lot. It didn't happen.
"So it's a hell of an opportunity, and you don't know when you're going to get it again."
